Plot:

The Game begins with the Nameless Hero thrust into the barrier, and soon afterward befriended by Diego, one of the Shadows from the Old Camp. After the Hero has joined a camp, he is sent to the Swamp Camp to aid a ritual that is supposed to destroy the barrier.

The Hero has to reclaim a focus stone for Y'Berion, leader of the Swamp Camp. Afterwards, he must help another high-ranking Swamp camp member gather minecrawler secretion to help the novices contact the Sleeper. The Hero heads to the Old Mine and kills a Minecrawler Queen, securing enough secretion in the process. Afterwards his faction awards him with a promotion.

Next, the Hero must secure an Almanac that is needed for the invocation, from a band of Black Goblins. Finally, the ritual is ready to commence (thus begins chapter 3).

The ritual fails, and the hero is sent to the nearby Orc Cemetery to try and figure out what happened. After his return, he is sent to gather healing herbs for Y'Berion, who is ill. The Hero is unable to help him, and Y'Berion dies. Cor Angar takes command of the camp and sends the Hero (along with the focus stone and the Almanac) to the mages at the New Camp, to help in their escape plan.

The water mages plan to bust out of the barrier using huge amounts of ore to power the spell to free themselves; they, however, require the 5 focus stones to be able to do it. The Hero is sent to gather the remaining four focus stones. At each of the locations, one of the Hero's friends helps him. Milten (Fire Mage in the Old Camp) helps him at the Stonehenge, Diego (Shadow in the Old Camp) at the Troll Canyon, Gorn (Mercenary from the New Camp) at the Cloister Ruin and Lester (Novice of the Swamp Camp) at the Mountain Fortress. These four had forged a pact to help the Hero in his quests.

After the focus stones are secured, Saturas (leader of the Water Mages) wants the Hero to perform one more task - to summon other mages inside the Barrier, to help. At this point, the Hero is able to acquire new armor again. However, tragedy has struck! The mine controlled by the old camp has collapsed when the diggers breached an underground river. Gomez, leader of the Old Camp, used the ore from the mine to trade with the king. With his ore gone, he knew he would lose his position of power within the barrier, so he plans to attack the New Camp and secure their mine. The Fire Mages disagree with Gomez's plan and in a fit of rage Gomez slaughters all the Fire Mages (except Milten, who managed to escape) and marches on the New Camp. The Hero is deemed a traitor, and cannot enter the camp any more. If the Hero joined the Old Camp, he is now able to join the New Camp instead.

The Hero must now seek the elusive 13th mage, Xardas, who has turned his back to the other mages to study the Dark Arts. Unfortunately, he lives in a huge tower deep in the Orc Lands. After defeating his three guard golems, the Hero meets Xardas. Xardas sends the Hero to seek a renegade Orc shaman, Ur-Shak, in order to be able to peacefully enter the Orc Village (which guards the entrance to an ancient temple). The hero is sent to the Free Mine to get the help from an Orc there.

Unfortunately, the Free Mine is now under the control of the Old Camp. Gorn helps the Hero in his fight. At this point, the Hero is also able to get Wolf, a mercenary from the New Camp, to make him a special armor from minecrawler plates. Afterwards, the Hero proceeds to make the artifact required to get peaceful admittance into the Orc Village (an Ulu-Mulu).

The Hero battles against five undead Shamans to proceed further into the temple, but is unable to defeat the 5th. Xardas speaks of a magic sword, Uriziel, that the hero must get to progress further. In order to power up the sword, the Hero must trick the Water Mages, and use the mound of ore stored in their camp. Afterwards, the whole New Camp will consider the Hero a traitor. Uriziel can be turned into a magic Rune, if he is a mage.

Equipped with the finest armor (found in Xardas' old tower) and weapon in the game, the hero enters the temple to finally defeat the Sleeper. He succeeds in doing so, but is buried alive once the temple begins collapsing. The Barrier, however, has been destroyed.

Plot:

The Nameless Hero is instructed by Xardas on the new danger, an army of evil that has gathered in the mine valley, led by dragons. Xardas sends the Hero to Lord Hagen, leader of the paladins, to retrieve the Eye of Innos, an artifact which makes it possible to speak with the dragons and learn more about their motivation. The Nameless Hero starts to the City of Khorinis and after he found a way to enter the city, he learns he has to join one of the factions – the militia, the fire mages or the mercenaries – to be permitted entrance to Lord Hagen. When finally meeting the head of the paladins, the Nameless Hero is first sent into the mine valley, which is now overrun by Orcs, to bring back evidence of the dragons. In the castle, the former old camp, Garond heads the mission of the paladins. He also knows about the dragons, since the castle has already been attacked by them, but is only willing to write a notice on it for Lord Hagen, after the Nameless Hero has gathered information on the status in the mines. By the time the Hero exits the valley with the note about the dragons, the evil forces have become aware of his quest. Seekers are spread throughout the isle, with the goal to kill him. Presented with the note Lord Hagen is willing to give the Eye of Innos to the Hero and sends him to the monastery of the fire mages to retrieve it. But shortly before the Hero arrives there, the eye was stolen. The Hero chases after the thief, but just arrives in time to witness Seekers destroy the Eye of Innos. A smith can repair the amulet, but for the magical power to be restored, a ritual with high mages representing the three gods is necessary. Vatras, the water mage, prepares the ritual and represents Adanos. With former fire mage Xardas representing Beliar, Pyrokar, head of the fire mages, joins the ritual reluctantly to represent Innos. The mages manage to restore the power of the Eye of Innos and so the Hero can head back to the valley to destroy the four dragons that live there. After all of the dragons are killed, the Hero travels to Xardas' tower to report to him, but the mage is gone. The Hero is given a note from Xardas by Lester, telling him he was to find more information in the fire mages' monastery, in the book 'The Halls of Irdorath'. The book contains a sea map, showing the way to the isle Irdorath, one of the ancient temples of Beliar that once disappeared. The hero assembles a crew and gets a ship and a captain for that ship to sail to Irdorath and confront the leader of the dragons – the undead dragon.

With the help of the pirates (also a new guild introduced by the addon), the hero manages to defeat Raven (an old character from the first Gothic, which also was not present in the second part of the franchise). Plot:

The third part opens with the Nameless Hero and his friends sailing to a new continent overrun with orcs, arriving in the Myrtana, the central region of the continent. Presumably this is the source of the orc invasion that was launched on Khorinis during the second chapter. These lands have no physical connection to Khorinis or the ruins of the penal colony. In these mountainous forests the orcs have enslaved the human kingdom with only a few free humans living in the nearly uninhabitable icy northlands of Nordmar and the southern desert of Varant. The hero must decide whether to join the rebellion and stay true to the deposed human king, serve the Orcish usurpers in their quest to topple the last remaining human stronghold, or choose a path that serves his own ends. Throughout the story, he is accompanied by a number of NPCs, some of whom are old friends. While this chapter brings forward friends from the previous title (Xardas, Diego, Milten, Gorn, Lester, and Vatras) it also introduces two new major characters; King Rhobar the Second (Who ultimately was responsible for sending the Nameless Hero to the penal colony in the first game) and Zuben. While the king has a strong past as a bold leader, he now faces a near defeat; his fame on the decline. Zuben leads the Hashishin that inhabit the southern region of Varant

Plot:

Portal's plot is revealed to the player via audio messages from GLaDOS and side rooms found in the later levels. The game begins with Chell waking up from a stasis bed and hearing instructions and warnings from GLaDOS about the upcoming test experience. This part of the game involves distinct "test chambers" that, in sequence, introduce players to the game's mechanics. GLaDOS's announcements serve not only to instruct Chell and help her progress through the game, but also to create atmosphere and develop the AI as a character. Throughout this portion of the game, Chell is promised cake and grief counseling as her reward for completing all the test chambers.
A typical Portal level with both of the player's colored portals opened. The Weighted Companion Cube can also be seen.
A typical Portal level with both of the player's colored portals opened. The Weighted Companion Cube can also be seen.

Chell proceeds through the empty Enrichment Center, only interacting with GLaDOS. Over the course of the game, GLaDOS' motives are hinted to be more sinister than her helpful demeanor suggests. Although she is designed to appear helpful and encouraging, much of GLaDOS's speech suggests insincerity and callous disregard for the test subjects, such as leading Chell through "a live fire course designed for military androids" because the usual test chamber is being repaired. In another chamber, GLaDOS boasts about the fidelity and importance of the "Weighted Companion Cube", a waist-high crate with pink hearts on each face, for helping Chell to complete the chamber, but then declares that it "unfortunately must be euthanized" in an "emergency intelligence incinerator" before Chell can continue. Some chambers include automated turrets that will fire upon Chell; Chell is able to disable them, causing them to sympathize with her before they shut down.

After Chell completes the final test chamber, GLaDOS congratulates her as the platform she is riding begins to slide into a large furnace to incinerate her. As GLaDOS assures her that "all Aperture technologies remain safely operational up to 4000 degrees Kelvin", Chell barely escapes and GLaDOS tries to assure her that the furnace was all part of the test, even though it is obvious that GLaDOS actually was attempting to kill Chell. Throughout this section, GLaDOS still sends messages to Chell and it becomes rather clear that GLaDOS has become corrupt and may have even killed all surviving people in the center, or there never were any at the start of the game. Chell makes her way through the maintenance areas and empty office spaces behind the chambers. Now, instead of guidance from GLaDOS, graffiti messages point Chell in the right direction. These "backstage" areas, which are in extreme disrepair, stand in stark contrast to the pristine test chambers. The graffiti includes statements such as "the cake is a lie" and pastiches of Emily Dickinson's poem "The Chariot" and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's "The Reaper and the Flowers", mourning the death of the companion cube.

GLaDOS attempts to dissuade Chell with threats of physical harm and misleading statements claiming that she is going the wrong way as Chell makes her way deeper into the maintenance areas. Eventually, Chell reaches a large chamber where GLaDOS's hardware hangs overhead. GLaDOS continues to attempt to plead with Chell, but during the exchange one of GLaDOS' core chips falls off. Chell drops it in an incinerator, and GLaDOS reveals that Chell has just destroyed the "morality core", which the Aperture Science employees allegedly installed after GLaDOS "flooded the enrichment center with a deadly neurotoxin", and goes on to state that now there is nothing to prevent her from doing so once again. A six-minute countdown starts up as Chell dislodges and incinerates more pieces of GLaDOS. After she has destroyed the final piece, a portal malfunction tears the room apart and drags everything to the surface. Chell lands outside the gates of the facility amid the rubble of GLaDOS.

The final scene, after a long and speedy zoom through the bowels of the facility, shows a mix of shelves surrounding a chocolate cake and the Weighted Companion Cube. The shelves contain various metallic "eye" components similar to GLaDOS' core chips, some of which begin to light up before a robotic arm descends and extinguishes the candle. The credits roll, and GLaDOS delivers a concluding report about Chell: the song "Still Alive", in which GLaDOS sings "I'm doing science and I'm still alive."

Syobon - Cat Mario - The most difficult game in world

Syobon - Cat Mario

Information:

This game is designed from Japanese programers and till now no one has ever reached the end of the game.
On other words this is THE MOST DIFFICULT GAME EVER MADE.

Actually Super Mario is taken away from the game and it's "puted" a cat with infinite number of lives.
I don't think that we played this kind of games in the past Wink

Gamplay:

The gameplay is similar to Super Mario Brothers, but with a perverse twist. It fools the player in many ways; Apart from being a complete antithesis of conventional SMB gameplay, it exploits the experience of the player and uses such experience against the latter; The game only consists of four levels but they have such a high level of enemy and puzzle/trap placement that it becomes nearly impossible to predict what will be next.

Obstacles and traps encountered in the game includes the Mushroom, which in Mario games usually gives the player larger and gives an extra hit point, this time makes the cat larger and heavier, making it fall through the ground and causing the player to get killed.

Another is a classic appearance of an invisible block, causing players trying to jump over the edge to bump into it, and falling straight down to their deaths. Another, an invisible box on the first level generates an infinite number of deadly mushrooms, blocking your path. To succeed, the player must learn to think outside the box on certain areas. Even backdrops like the cloud is an enemy to contend with.

New and unique to the game is the robot; on contact, it will grab and throw whatever it comes across to the opposite direction, including the player or even the flagpole on the goal area. It is both a nuisance and a strategic part of the game.

There are also other parts where the player is forced to commit suicide after springing a trap in order to continue playing. However, the game does allow infinite lives (starting with two lives) and simply keeps track of the number of deaths a player has suffered.

Luizprower, a user on Youtube posted a four part run through of this game in which his brother "Oni" repeatedly cracks jokes about Luiz's deaths. Other users have posted speed runs including runs with no deaths (Two lives remaining).

Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail

Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail

Information:

Developer: Sierra Entertainment
Publisher: Sierra Entertainment
Platform: MS-DOS, Windows
Release date: 1996
Genre: Adventure game
Mode: Single-player
Rating:
ELSPA: 15+
ESRB: M

Plot:

Love for Sail! was the first Larry game since the third to pick up immediately where its predecessor left off; typically, it features Larry getting dumped by the woman who represented the ultimate goal of Larry 6, Shamara.

The formula was much the same as the previous games: the "twist" was that Larry was a passenger on a cruise ship populated by parodies of famous people. Among the other cruise guests were "Drew Baringmore" (Drew Barrymore), "Dewmi Moore" (Demi Moore), "Victorian Principles" (Victoria Principal), "Jamie Lee Coitus" (Jamie Lee Curtis), "Nailmi" and "Wydoncha Jugg" (Naomi and Wynonna Judd) and "Annette Boning" (Annette Bening). Various other pop icons were parodied in the background, such as the Archie Comics gang playing nude volleyball, various incarnations of James Bond in the ship's casino, a Sierra staffer dressed as Sailor Moon, and porn icon Ron Jeremy walking around naked. Most of the male supporting cast (Peter the Purser, Johnson the bartender, Dick the guardrobe attendant, Wang the galley server, Bob Bitt the artist) are named after popular euphemisms for the male reproductive organ or are in some way related to it (Bob Bitt, for instance, is named after John Wayne Bobbitt; the character also shares the same first name and bears a passing resemblance to fellow artist Bob Ross).

The plot revolves around Larry's attempt at winning a weekly contest held on the ship by Captain Thygh, a gorgeous blonde. The contest involves a series of other games varying from legitimate sports competitions like bowling to naughtier things like a machine created to test one's sexual prowess. Each passenger is given a score card with a selection of the various competitions to compete in, and the passenger with the highest cumulative score at the end of the week wins. The prize is an additional free week on the cruise spent sharing the Captain's cabin (and, presumably, her bed.)

The player must come up with a variety of ways to cheat in each of Larry's assigned competitions so that he can get the highest score and win the contest. Among Larry's chosen competitions are a cooking contest, a "best dressed" contest, a game of horseshoes, bowling, the sexual prowess contest and others. At times Larry wins these contests not by cheating but only by an unexpected twist of fate triggered by his (often unintentional) actions. For instance, Larry's encounter with fashion designer Jamie Lee Coitus causes his Leisure Suit to become the height of fashion; as such he wins the best dressed competition.

It was also the first Larry game to include a full-fledged minigame (not counting the casino games in the earlier installments, which were essential to the plot): by collecting hidden red-and-white-striped dildos (Where's Dildo?, a pun on Where's Waldo?), the player could unlock high quality pin-up desktop wallpapers of the ladies in the game (the images are simply Windows BMP files stored in the Drivers subdirectory of the game under misleading Memory1.drv ... Memory8.drv names; they can be opened with any graphics program).

GameSpot Comment: A great box set that's a must have for any fan that doesn't have all the games!

Plot:

Most of the game is set in a remote desert area of New Mexico in the Black Mesa Research Facility, a fictional complex that bears many similarities to both the Los Alamos National Laboratory and Area 51, during May or December (as seen on calendars in the game) of 200X, meaning it takes place sometime between the years 2000 and 2009. The game's protagonist is the theoretical physicist Gordon Freeman, a survivor of an experiment that goes horribly wrong when an unexpected "resonance cascade" (a fictitious phenomenon; see also constructive interference and prompt critical) rips dimensional seams, devastating the facility. Aliens from another world—known as Xen—subsequently enter the facility through these dimensional seams (an event known as the "Black Mesa Incident").

As Freeman tries to make his way out of the ruined facility to find help for the injured, he soon discovers that he is caught between two sides: the hostile aliens and the Hazardous Environment Combat Unit, a United States Marine Corps Special Forces division dispatched to cover up the incident by eliminating the aliens, as well as Dr. Freeman and the other surviving Black Mesa personnel. Throughout the game, a mysterious figure known (but not actually referred to in-game) as "G-Man" regularly appears, apparently monitoring Freeman's progress. Ultimately, Freeman uses the co-operation of surviving scientists and security officers to work his way towards the mysterious "Lambda Complex" of Black Mesa (signified with the Greek "λ" character), where a team of survivors teleport him to the alien world Xen to kill the Nihilanth, the creature keeping Xen's side of the dimensional rift open.

The game's plot was originally inspired by the video games Doom and Quake, both personal computer games produced by id Software, Stephen King's short story/novella The Mist, and an episode of The Outer Limits called "The Borderland." It was later developed by Valve's in-house writer and author, Marc Laidlaw, who wrote the books Dad's Nuke and The 37th Mandala.

Description:

Half Life: Generations is a box set of all the original Half Life games and the expansion packs. The box includes Half Life, Counterstrike, Opposing Force, Blue Shift, most of the patches and the Half-Life High Definition Pack.

Half Life was one of the ground breaking games of the late nineties, with it's advanced AI, awesome use of scripting, great storyline, fantastic graphics and sound.

The scripted events were sometimes big and sometimes small, for example an enemy bashed down a door or a dam exploding. The scripts in the game moved the storyline forward without the need for cutscenes which is what all the other games were doing at this time. Half Life's gameplay was based on shooting action and puzzle solving as well. Shoot people, solve a puzzle, then rinse and repeat.

By todays standards the AI is basic but back then it was quite good. Enemies would use grenades, run away when hurt, run away from grenades. The AI had it's stupid moments such as a friend shooting through you to get to an enemy.

The graphics were great for the time and so was the sound. The voice acting is well done as well.

The weapons for the most part of standard such as an MP5 (later replaced with the M4A1 in the High Definition Pack), pistol, Shotgun, Rocket Launcher etc. Half Life also had some more unusual weapons such as the Crossbow , the Gluon gun and the the Gauss gun.

Opposing Force was one of the expansion packs. It was much like the original Half Life only with more weapons, a few new features and a storyline from a soldiers perspective.

Blue Shift was the second expansion pack, in this expansion you went through the Black Mesa incident as a security Guard. It was packaged all with the high definition pack, which changed the weapon models and character models (I highly recommend you install it).

CounterStrike needs no really introduction as it's probably one of the most played terrorists vs anti terrorist multiplayer shooters of all time.

Any fan of the Half Life series that doesn't have all the games should get this awesome box set.

Description:

Assassin's Creed is a third-person stealth game in which the player assumes the role of Desmond Miles, an average bartender who is the last descendant of a long family line of assassins. Desmond has been taken to a facility where he is forced to use the Animus, a machine that traces and recreates the memories of his ancestors during the Third Crusade. Through these genetic memories, the player controls Altaïr (الطائر , Arabic, "The Flying One" or "Flying Eagle"), a member of the Assassin Brotherhood. Altaïr's objective in the game is to slay nine historical figures propagating the Crusades in the year 1191. (According to Ubisoft developers, all of the main character's targets are historical figures who died or disappeared in 1191, although not necessarily by assassination.)
The primary goal of the game is to complete nine assassinations. To achieve this goal, the player must use stealth and a variety of intelligence gathering tactics to collect information on their target. These tactics include eavesdropping, forceful interrogation, pickpocketing, and completing tasks for Informers (other assassins who will give you information in exchange for assassinating targets or collecting flags). Additionally, the player may take part in any number of side missions, including climbing tall towers to map out the city and saving citizens that are being threatened or harassed by the city guards. There are also various side quests unrelated to the story such as hunting down and killing Templars and flag collecting.

The game takes place primarily in a kingdom consisting of four main cities: Jerusalem, Acre, Damascus and Masyaf, the assassins' stronghold; all but Masyaf contain three sections that are unlocked over the course of the game. An approximation of the land lying between these areas is present in the game as "The Kingdom." Each city features a highly detailed environment populated by many people of different types, and as the player interacts with his/her environment, the people around Altaïr respond in logical and predictable ways. For example, Altaïr can climb buildings, causing people to gather around and comment on his unusual behavior. This in turn can attract the unwanted attention of nearby guards, who may then choose to attack him.

The player is made aware of how noticeable Altaïr is to enemy guards as well as the current state of alert in the local area. To perform many of the assassinations and other tasks, the player must consider the use of both "low profile" and "high profile" commands. "Low profile" commands allow Altaïr to blend into nearby crowds, gently pass by other citizens, or other non-threatening tasks that can be used to hide and reduce the alertness level. "High profile" commands are more noticeable, and including running, scaling the sides of buildings to climb to higher vantage points, and attacking foes; performing these actions at certain times may raise the local area's awareness level. Once the area is at high alert, the player must use both low profile commands as well as aiming to climb away from ground level or using hiding spaces to reduce the alertness level. The player, as they complete the assigned assassinations, will gain either new weapons or new combat skills including counter-attacks and attack dodges. Besides his fists, Altaïr's weaponry includes an assassin's sword for standard combat, a short blade, and throwing knives which are used in conjunction with the short blade. Altaïr also gains the use of a hidden retractable blade on his left arm that can be used for killing targets at very close quarters without creating any immediate alerts (although, if others come across the body, the alertness level may be raised). This is the most noticeable difference between low and high profile. A low profile assassination can be performed within as little as a few feet of other guards or soldiers without attracting attention, whereas a high profile assassination attack will be noticed by everyone within eyesight.

The player's health is described as the level of synchronization between Desmond and Altaïr's memories; should Altaïr take damage, some amount of synchronization is lost, and if all synchronization is lost, the current memory that Desmond is experiencing will be restarted at the last checkpoint. When the synchronization bar is full, the player has the additional option to use "eagle vision" which causes the computer-rendered memory to highlight all visible characters in colors corresponding to whether they are friend or foe or even the target of their assassination. Due to Altaïr's memories being rendered by the computer of the Animus project, the player may experience "glitches" in the rendering of the historical world, which may help the player to identify targets, or can be used to alter the viewpoint during in-game scripted scenes should the player react fast enough when they appear.
